UI/UX DESIGN

RELIACARE

For ReliaCare, I developed a brand thinking about the patients. I designed a brand that was both welcoming, friendly, and supportive. I used a bright and colorful palette, yet one that is calming to the eye. The logo features two chat symbols coming together to create a heart, representing doctors and patients coming together within the ReliaCare app. After all, ReliaCare is the better way to get better, keeping the patients in touch with your doctors. Character illustrations are seen throughout the app, greeting and encouraging the patient during their recovery. The characters are filled with personality as they act as emotional support, giving the app a friendly and inviting welcome through their recovery journey. They are characters that a patient who is recovering wouldn’t mind seeing. The symbols and icons within the app follow the same style: rounded corners, one to two colors, with a simple approach. The navigation bar will feature a calendar icon, cross icon, book icon, and chat bubble icon. Other symbols include medication and a bandaid. All of these are simplified and reduced to scale down properly.

SOLUTION

Featured above are three onboarding screens and an enter code screen. This process is from the perspective of the postoperative patient’s point of view. When the patient launches the app, the patient is first introduced to an overview of what ReliaCare is here to do, then how ReliaCare works, and how ReliaCare connects you. After these screens, the ‘Enter Your Registration Code’ screen is prompted. This allows the patient to link their account with their medical information.

Next is the info card patient will receive from their doctor to download and set up their ReliaCare account.

APP SCREENS

Above are 6 screens of the ReliaCare App. The Home screen displays a character welcoming the patient with a message and a quick contact doctor button. There is an overview of the patient’s to-do’s and a recovery status bar. Other screens present the user profile, the learning center, the medication center, the recovery timeline, and the contact center. All screens layout all necessary information smoothly, and buttons to other screens. To the right is the Step-By-Step Guide Card that the patient will receive from their doctor to download and set up their account.
