GENERATION MARIPOSA
UI/UX DESIGN
Generation Mariposa is a campaign to empower first-generation Latinas. Generation Mariposa’s goal is to build a community, bring awareness to mental health and social issues, and bring pride to first-generation Latina students. It will also act as a resource on how to navigate identity, mental health, career choices, and finances. Most importantly, Gen-Mari wants to celebrate students, small business owners, creatives, and other professionals.
SOLUTION
Featured are screens from the Generation Mariposa App. Each screen displays different aspects of the app. Articles, Community Specific Chats, Your Personal Profile, as well as upcoming events are displayed throughout the app. Target Gen-Z and Millennials, the overall brand identity of the app is playful, modern, and vibrant. The shapes and colors allude to the diverse and beautiful Latinx culture we share. Within the app, it was important to include the different features of the app that allude to a sense of community within the app, such as student-written articles, intimate topics, and the ability to join others for in-person events.
APP SCREENS + PROTOTYPE
Shown are 4 app screens of the Generation Mariposa App. Within the Figma Prototype, you can experience a semi-developed prototype of the app. The prototype includes a loading screen and sign-up screen, followed by a home screen that has buttons and a scroll you can interact with. Each screen contains unique content, yet displays a consistent visual layout.
